How we met
each other
In late 2014, Madison was about a month into her first year of college, and had stayed after class one day to talk to her professor about an assignment. It happened to be one of Ty's favorite professors, one he often dropped in on to say hello, and that day was no different. When he had popped his head in, Madison immediately thought he looked like Harry Styles... and she loved Harry Styles. But just as quickly as he'd appeared, he was gone, and Madison was already wondering if she'd see him around again. When she'd finished up with her professor, she swung by the Starbucks stand right outside the classroom. As she was staring at the menu, nearly zoned out, a voice behind her said, "So, you're a writer?"
She turned around, and it was Ty — Harry Styles Guy — who had waited up and gotten in line behind her. She said that she was, and learned that he was, too, a couple years ahead in the same Creative Writing program. They chatted until they made it to the front of the line, where Ty paid for both of their coffees and asked for her number, which she gladly gave him. Madison got a text from him by the time she got to her car, confessing that he was already fifteen minutes late for class, but just really wanted to meet her. Eleven years, two cats, and a Chinese dog later, they both agree it was worth it.
